DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION

BECOME A GRAPHIC DESIGNER OR ARTIST

Design is art that people use. Do you love art, graphic design, or experimenting with the latest computer art technologies?

Whether you’re drawn to traditional materials or digital tools, the Design and Illustration program lets you explore and create like never before!

This one-year program (with the option for a second year) combines hands-on artmaking with cutting-edge design software. As a student, you'll receive your own Adobe Creative Cloud account, giving you access to industry-standard programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. You’ll also work with a wide range of materials, from spray paint to digital drawing tablets, as you develop your personal artistic style and tackle real-world design challenges.

Highlights of the program include:

  • Portfolio Creation—Develop both physical and digital portfolios to showcase your work for colleges, internships, jobs, or gap year opportunities.

  • Professional Tools—Gain experience with digital cameras, scanners, and drawing tablets while mastering design principles.

  • Creative ExpressionLearn the creative process, explore personal expression, and solve design problems in a supportive environment.

Spend your time discovering your style, enhancing your skills, and preparing for a future in art, design, or illustration. The Design and Illustration program sets you up for success in college, internships, or entry-level creative careers.
